Matthew Brabham, No. 83 MAZDASPEED/AFS Racing

MAZDASPEED/AFS Racing driver Matthew Brabham captured his 13th win of the season in today's finale event at the Grand Prix of Houston, yet again breaking his own record for number of wins in a season.

"It's complete. What a fantastic year, I'm just so happy for the guys - they've worked hard all year and it's just one of those years that's been incredible. We just got our race in before the rain, it was pretty hectic there with all the restarts and it's kind of hard to change it up with every restart, but I managed to get through the first corner and just kept getting those little gaps. Just a great race and a great weekend again; I'm over the moon. I just did not see this year happening the way it did at the start of the year, I couldn't even imagine it panning out so well."

Shelby Blackstock, No. 28 Starstruck

Blackstock came away with an impressive sixth-place finish at the Grand Prix of Houston after an incident on Lap 1 of the season finale brought the 23-year-old to last place in 15th. The Starstruck driver comes away with third place in the championship points during his rookie year.

"Overall today was an up-and-down day. We started seventh and on the opening lap were taken out; we restarted dead last, and I was able to drive back up to sixth in the end. The good news is we kept our place in the championship and finished the year first (teammate Matthew Brabham) and third overall. As a team we won 14 of the 16 races and were on the podium every single race -- overall a really good season. Thank you to the whole Andretti crew for a solid year."
